Mae Cyngor Tref Tregaron wedi lansio gwobr newydd sbon heddiw i gydnabod cyfraniad gwirfoddol lleol.
Bwriad y wobr yw dathlu a diolch i wirfoddolwr sydd wedi gwneud cyfraniad eithriadol i ardal Tregaron. Bydd y wobr yn cael ei gyflwyno fel rhan o ddathliadau Gŵyl Ddewi y Cyngor Tref.
Meddai Arwel Jones, Cadeirydd Cyngor Tref Tregaron:
“Rydym yn croesawu enwebiadau gan bobl sydd wedi gweithio’n ddiwyd a thawel er lles yr ardal a hynny mewn mewn meysydd tebyg i chwaraeon, cymuned, amaeth, plant, pobl ifanc, pobl hŷn neu unrhyw faes arall . Mae yna gymaint o bobl sy’n gwneud gwaith gwych yn y gymuned a hynny heb unrhyw gydnabyddiaeth o gwbl. Dyma gyfle felly i gydnabod ymrwymiad un o ser yr ardal.”
I fod yn ddilys am y wobr bydd rhaid i’r unigolyn a enwebyr:
- Fyw ym mhlwyf etholiadol Tregaron
- Fod dros 18 mlwydd oed
- Fod wedi gwenud gwaith gwirfoddol sy’n berthnasol i’r dre.
Ni ellir enwebu unrhyw aelod presennol o Gyngor Tref Tregaron.
Er mwyn cynnig enwau bydd angen danfon ebost at clerc Cyngor Tref Tregaron neu cyflwyno’r cais trwy law un o’r Cynghorwyr yn amlinellu pam fod yr enwebydd yn deilwng o’r wobr (dim mwy na 100 gair) erbyn y 23ain o Chwefror:- clerc@cyngor-tregaron-council.org.uk
Bydd yr ennillydd yn cael ei ddewis gan banel annibynnol tu allan i’r Cyngor Tref.

Tregaron Town Council has launched a brand new award to recognise local voluntary contribution.
The award is intended to celebrate and thank a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the Tregaron area. The award will be presented as part of the Town Council’s St David’s Day celebrations.
Arwel Jones, Chairman of Tregaron Town Council, said:
“We welcome nominations from people who have worked diligently and quietly for the good of the area in sports-like areas, community, agriculture, children, young people, older people or any other field. There are so many people doing great work in the community without any recognition at all. This is an opportunity to acknowledge the commitment of one of the stars of the area”
To be eligible for the award, the individual must:
- Live in the electoral ward of Tregaron
- Be over 18 years old
- Have done volunteer work that is relevant to the town
No current member of Tregaron Town Council can be nominated.
To propose names, an email will need to be sent to the Tregaron Town Council clerk or by submitting the application to one of the Councillors outlining why the nominee is deserving of the award (no more than 100 words) by the 23rd of February: – clerc@cyngor-tregaron-council.org.uk
The winner will be chosen by an independent panel outside the Town Council.
The winner will be announced during the Tregaron St David’s Day parade on 1st March.
